Meeting the COVID-19 Challenge with Check-6 Emergency Response Support Team

CHALLENGE:

A client wanted to improve their crew change process to ensure everyone on the platform is free from COVID-19. Check-6 proposed an Emergency Response Support Team (ERST) package to ensure all personnel deploying to the installation were free of COVID-19.

 

ACTION:

 

 

The Check-6 ERST conducted the following activities:

  • Established an ‘Airlock’ in Labuan. This facility was set up for a 4-month period for50 personnel at a time. Each group of 50 spent 14 days in the facility prior to their mobilization to the installation. Total number of personnel using the facility was
  • Performance Excellence and Crew Resource Management classes as well as 1-to-1 coaching of Plan Based Execution Cycle program while observing the social distancing rules
  • Standard operating procedures (SOPs) were produced covering:
    • Facility
    • Movement
    • Activities
    • Security
    • Contingency

RESULTS:

The results achieved are that there are currently no COVID-19 cases on the installa- tion so normal operations are continuing.

SUMMARY:

While worldwide attention around COVID-19 continues to accelerate, Check-6 remains focused on the safety and health of our clients, co-workers, and business partners.

The success of delivering this airlock has caught the attention of other companies who have engaged Check-6 for similar activities.
