When Check-6 began using all local coaches, or at minimum language speakers, we saw better results with our global clients than when we simply paired an ex-patriot with a local coach for training.

One thing I’ve learned is that maintaining effective communication despite language barriers and cultural nuances is key, especially when it comes to hierarchy. One has to be willing to do their homework before showing up, and even once on-site, be willing to display humility and ask for guidance from the host nation representative so they can show up that much better.
